October Yeager

October, who goes by 'Tobi', has dreams of pursuing a career in illustration after high school. 

Due to almost her entire high school term falling during the pandemic, Tobi has not had the advantage of having even a public school art teacher to guide her passion.

She works hard at teaching herself tachneques and utilizing different mediums. Her work shows an eye for mood and shading. She utilizes color in very advanced ways for someone her age who has been self taught. 

Her work has been described by reviewers as an evolving combination of Mike Dringenberg and Lisa Frank. A unique blend indeed. 

We look forward to seeing how her portfolio matures after she attends the SCAD Rising Star summer program.
